If you do, then plan to attend one of the Home Lawn Care 101 workshops offered by Allen West, Consumer Horticulture agent. There are three opportunities for you to attend the workshop that best meets your schedule, The workshops are not part of a series and each workshop will provide the same information. The workshops will be offered on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 10 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., and Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Workshop attendees will learn how to start and maintain a healthy home lawn in Eastern North Carolina’s climate and soils. Topics include choosing the best grass type for your location, soil management, weed control, proper irrigation and much more. Come and get the answers to all of your lawn questions and leave with lots of information to begin your journey to having the home lawn you’ve always wanted.

The workshops will be held in the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Cumberland County Center Auditorium, located at 301 East Mountain Drive, Fayetteville, NC.
