UMO AgPrime Grant
Opportunity for Individual Farm Operations

University of Mount Olive AgPrime provides grants to North Carolina farmers for new and innovative agricultural project ideas that will increase farm profits. This grant program, which is supported by the North Carolina Tobacco Trust Fund Commission, was designed to strengthen farms and communities that were negatively impacted by the downturn of the tobacco economy. UMO AgPrime Grants are available in the following counties: Cumberland, Lee, Moore, Richmond and Robeson. Junior Master
Gardener Summer Camp

Cumberland County Cooperative Extension and Cape Fear Botanical Garden are excited to offer the Junior Master Gardener Summer Camp for youth ages 9-13. The camp will be held each Friday beginning June 17 and continue through August 5. Camp hours will be from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm and held at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden. Cost for the eight week camp is $125.00, which includes all snacks and curriculum materials. Students are responsible for providing a bag lunch, hat, towel, and should wear closed toe shoes. Refunds will be provided only in the event the camp is canceled by Cumberland County Cooperative Extension. Camp registration and payment fee is due by June 1, 2016. Space is limited so register early! Participants must have or submit a current 4-H enrollment form for registration. For registration information contact Jeanie Edwards, 4-H Administrative Support Specialist at 910.321.6864 or via email at jeanie_edwards@ncsu.edu. 4-H enrollment forms can be located on the Cumberland County Cooperative Extension website: http://cumberland.ces.ncsu.edu.
