Beginning Beekeeping
Course

Cumberland County Cooperative Extension will be conducting a Beginning Beekeeping Course starting on Thursday September 25, 2014 at 6:30 PM. The course will cover the basic information necessary to get started into beekeeping and will prepare students for the practical beekeeping course that will be taught in the spring of 2015. The course will be held every Thursday evening for 6 weeks and will take place at the Cumberland County Cooperative Extension office. Centipede Lawn
Problems Seminar

A Centipede Lawn Problems seminar will take place at the Cumberland County Cooperative Extension Center on September 17, 2014 from 8:30 am until noon. Topics covered will include insect, weed and pest management in centipede lawns, as well as best management practices for maintaining a healthy centipede lawn. Continuing educational pesticide credits will be offered for licensed pesticide applicators in categories L, N, D, and X. Preregistration is requested by September 15.
