Herter-O'Neal
Scholarship Available

Nominations are being sought for a $750 scholarship offered by the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Administrative Professionals Association (NCCEAPA) through March 13, 2015. The scholarship is available to North Carolina residents pursuing a college degree (Associates and/or Bachelors) in business or a business-related field of study. Applicants must be enrolled to attend classes at a community college or university during the 2015-2016 school year. The scholarship is awarded annually to honor the work and dedication of Edith Herter and Frances O’Neal, co-leaders in forming the NCCEAPA in 1973. Qualified applicants interested in applying for this scholarship can obtain an application packet from the financial aid office at their local community college or high school guidance counselor. Additional information can be obtained by contacting the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service, Cumberland County Center at 910.321.6405, or by visiting the Center at 301 East Mountain Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28306. Fees for Soil Samples
to Begin

Beginning on November 26, 2014 and continuing through March 31, 2015 a $4.00 peak season fee will be accessed to each soil sample submitted for testing to the Agronomic Division Lab. Soil samples must be received at the Agronomic Division Lab prior to 6:00 p.m. on November 25, 2014 to avoid the fee. Shipping or post-marked dates prior to November 26, 2014 will not deter the fee if not received at the lab by the deadline.
