What are worker bees? What is their job in the hive? How many Queens are in the hive? How do you find the Queen? What might make the bees disband the hive? Learn the answers to these questions and many more interesting facts about honeybees in the upcoming Beginning Beekeepers Course in the Cooperative Extension office this fall. The course is offered at no charge.
N.C. Cooperative Extension of Cumberland County Master Beekeeper, Kenny Bailey, will provide a six week course on Beginning Beekeeping. The course will cover the basic information necessary to get started in beekeeping and prepare participants for the practical beekeeping course offered in the spring of 2024. You may attend as many classes as you would like; however, you must register for each class separately.
The course is free.
Course dates are September 28, October 5, October 12, October 19, October 26, and November 9 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.
