Join the Cumberland County Cooperative Extension staff on September 30, 2025, at 12:00pm for "Growing Shiitake Mushrooms", part of our every popular Better Living Series. The workshop will be held in the Cumberland County Cooperative Extension Auditorium, 301 East Mountain Drive, Fayetteville, NC.

Did you know that mushrooms are considered a powerhouse superfood? They are loaded with vitamins and nutrients. Although considered a specialty crop, they are easy to grow in your own backyard. Participants will leave the workshop with one inoculated log, ready to grow mushrooms.
