Join the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Cumberland County Center staff for an informational workshop "Figs for the Home Landscape" on Wednesday June 5, 2024. The workshop will be offered from 12:00noon - 1:30 pm and again from 6:30-8:00. Please select the workshop that works best for your schedule.
Figs are a summertime treat many gardeners overlook. They can be eaten fresh, canned, or used to make delicious jams. Learn to grow and harvest homegrown figs in containers or in the ground. Participants will receive a small fig tree for home planting.
Registration is limited in each class and due by May 31. Registration fee is $12 and must be paid by the registration deadline of May 31. Checks, money orders, or correct cash accepted for registration payments. Checks should be made payable to Cumberland County.
