Homesteading 101 - Pressure Canning

Summer gardens provide us with an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables. But how can we enjoy the fruits of those labors all year long?


Are you interested in learning how to pressure can your fresh vegetables and fruits? Then Pressure Canning 101, part of the Cumberland County Homesteading Series, is the class for you!  Join the Cooperative staff on June 17, 2023 from 9:00 am - 12:00 noon for  Pressure Canning 101 workshop.  The workshop will be provided at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Cumberland County Center, 301 East Mountain Drive, Fayetteville, NC.


An overview of canning will be provided, but the focus topic will be hands-on instruction on pressure canning. All supplies will be provided.


Please register with Candy Underwood, Family and Consumer Sciences Extension agent, in the Cooperative Extension office. Class size is limited, so register early. Registration and registration fee of $10.00 are due by June 13.
