2018 Private Pesticide Applicator Workshops

Persons who purchase or apply restricted-use-pesticides on their own farm are required by state law to have a private applicator certification. Persons who do not get recertified by the recertification deadline (September 30, 2018) must pass a written exam to obtain a new license. Although the card shows an expiration date of December 2018, you must have 2 hours credit in the V subclass and 2 hours credit in the X subclass (total of 4 hours credit) by September 30, 2018.

The following classes will be held at the Cumberland County Cooperative Extension Office at 301 East Mountain Drive in Fayetteville, NC:

Opportunities for V (Safety) credits in the first half of 2018 in Cumberland County:

2/7/2018 – V (Safety) class – 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (2 hours credit V)

3/8/2018 – V (Safety) class – 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (2 hours credit V)

Opportunities for X credits in the first half of 2018 in Cumberland County:

2/21/2018 – Pesticide Safety: Minimizing Risk – 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (2 hours credit X)

2/27/2018 – Herbicide Use and Safety in the Landscape – 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (2 hours X)

3/15/2018 – Pesticide Safety: Minimizing Risk – 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (2 hours credit X)
