2018 Extension Master Gardener Spring Symposium
The Cumberland County Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association proudly presents their annual Spring Symposium at the Cumberland County Cooperative Extension Center on Saturday March 24, 2018. The symposium will be held in the Extension’s Auditorium and adjacent rooms of the Extension Office. For GPS purposes, the address is 301 East Mountain Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28306.
The purpose of the symposium is to carry out the Cumberland County Extension Master Gardeners Volunteer Association’s mission: to “educate” the residents of Cumberland County in NC State approved horticulture practices based on unbiased, research-based information for their own gardens, lawns and landscapes.
The main speakers will be Felder Rushing, a seventh-generation farmer, author (Pass Along Plants), columnist, and host of radio and TV gardening programs. His website is firstname.lastname@example.org. He will be joined by Preston Montague, (email@example.com) an artist and author affiliated with NC State horticulture and the JCR Arboretum, and finally, our own adopted Brie Arthur (firstname.lastname@example.org), author, teacher and professional gardener who leads the national suburban Foodscape Movement.
YOU, of course, are cordially invited.
The fee, $50.00, includes all speaker sessions, snacks and materials, and for those who register by March 18, 2018, a “gourmet” boxed lunch. No discounts will be given for late registrations.
Garden related vendors and special garden interest groups will be available for participants to browse, gather information and make purchases between sessions and at lunch.
The Extension Master Gardener’s Demo Garden will also be open for guided tours between sessions.
